I offer a free initial 20 minute telephone assessment session. This is to help you find out more about counselling, for me to understand what your objectives are and for us to agree a plan together. I will email confirmation of your appointment date and time and Zoom link (if applicable) along with instructions for bacs payment which will be due in advance of each session.
I am able to offer a flexible diary and can work with clients on either a time-limited or long-term basis. You will be offered a dedicated weekly or bi-monthly appointment and sessions are available during the times set out below.

Government legislation states that Counselling Services fall under ‘other medical or health services, including services relating to mental health’. The space I provide allows 1.8 metres between client/counsellor when seated. I therefore have additional protection measures in place:-
Masks if Preferred
I have received 2 doses of the Astra Zeneca Vaccine
Lateral Covid test taken twice weekly uploaded to Government tracker
Ventilation (Window)
Sanitiser
Bathroom facilities cleaned before and after client sessions
Cancellations:
Sometimes, things happen that may mean you are unable to attend a booked appointment. In the counselling process, best outcomes are achieved when continuity in provision can be maintained. Please contact me as early as possible if you have to cancel – I will not charge you for cancellations, unless you give me less than 2 working days notice. With less than 2 working days notice, I will charge £25.
It may sometimes be appropriate to discuss additional or alternative support pathways with clients. I will never make a referral on your behalf without your express knowledge and permission. The only exception to this would be if you or someone else was in danger and an immediate referral to an appropriate professional was deemed necessary.
If you require a clinic or summary letter to be written for ongoing referral purposes, a charge would be made for this at my hourly rate of £60 or part thereof.
Counselling falls under the umbrella term ‘Talking Therapies’. As a Counsellor I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space for you to talk at your own pace, discuss difficulties and challenges and explore thoughts and feelings . . .
Find answers to some of the most commonly asked questions. How many sessions will be needed, is it necessary to obtain a GP referral, is everything confidential, how long records about you will be kept . . .
Find links to other resources and places where you can get help, and a series of downloaded self help documents on subjects such as Anger, Depression, Phobias, Self Esteem, Social Anxiety, Stress, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) . . .
